Rep. King warns Dems: Keep pushing us to investigate and we will go back and investigate ... Hillary Clinton
Republican Rep. Steve King issued a dire warning to Democrats on Wednesday about their push to obstruct President Donald Trump's White House with incessant Russia accusations and scandals.
If you want Congress to investigate they will. But they will open up Pandora's Box of Democrat scandals, all the way back to Hillary Clinton's emails, along with it, he told CNN "New Day" to host Alisyn Camerota on Wednesday.
Camerota insisted that the email chain released by Donald trump Jr. on Tuesday that showed how his meeting with a Russian attorney came to be, showed a "desire for collusion," from the president's son.
"Don't you know, and doesn't America know, that the Clinton campaign had a desire to collude with the Ukraine and they sent an operative over there to meet with the president of the Ukraine?" he asked.
Camerota brushed it off as a "talking point" and insinuated that it didn't mean anything because Clinton didn't win.
King called it a "violation of the ethical standard that the media is trying to put on the Trump people," before he issued his warning.
"If this continues, this immobilization of the presidency over these kind of things, it's going to force this Congress to do an investigation," he said. "A complete and thorough investigation. And that means go back all the way to the 650,000 emails of Anthony Weiner, and look at Comey and his activities."
The Iowa rep. said he was suspicious of the former FBI director's efforts at collusion to cover up a crime for Hillary Clinton.
"The Comey investigation, now him picking the special council on top of it, on it's face appears to be collusion," he said.
"They interviewed (Hillary Clinton) in a secret room somewhere," he explained. "I have questioned both (former Attorney General) Loretta Lynch and (former FBI Director) James Comey under oath before Judiciary Committee and here's what I learned. There were no notes taken in that interview. She was not sworn under oath. There was no audio tape. There was no video tape and they won't release the names of the individuals that did the interviews. But it wasn't Comey and it wasn't Loretta Lynch."
Like a dog with a bone, or a CNN reporter with an agenda, Camerota all but ignored King's comments and continued to ask about Trump Jr.
But she was unable to ruffle King during the tense exchange.Hillary Clinton, Pandora's Box, Steven King, Alisyn Camerota, DNC Servers, Democratic Scandals
